N2 - Topics like spatial and economic accessibility to rehabilitation through technological devices represent a challenge today. In line with this, the Mechatronics and Automation Research Laboratory (LIMA) located at the facilities of Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica is developing the project entitled”REHAB-GYM”, which aims to identify and provide solutions to the main challenges in the field of muscular rehabilitation. This paper focuses on the rehabilitation of flexion and extension movements of the elbow and knee resulting on an attachable device to the user’s limb providing resistance to movement through a torsion spring, with measurements taken using a potentiometer sensor and a Teensy microcontroller connected to a computer via a USB cable. The system features an interactive graphical interface that can be executed from the computer responsible for storing angle and force measurements during training, which are later uploaded to an Internet of Things (IoT) system.
