Abstract

With the advent of the high-speed digital era, the simultaneous switching noise on the dc power bus can cause significant signal and power integrity problems. Full-wave techniques are often used for analysis of the parallel plane power bus structures. However, the computation burden restricts their applications to systems of moderate complexity. In this paper, we present a 2-D contour integral method, which is a fast numerical procedure suitable for the impedance calculation of arbitrarily shaped power plane structures.
