Abstract

This work describes the process of prototype design and development of a wireless embedded system that uses specific accelerometer sensors to generate data relevant to health monitoring of bridges. This paper includes the requirement analysis, design and implementation of a system prototype using mainly free or low-cost technologies. The prototype also includes a web interface that allows analysis of bridge vibration data among other features.
