Abstract

The decision-making is on technical, legal; financial facts therefore corporates decisions requires business experience and have the smallest impact as possible. Nowadays, electricity systems deliver basic electricity services to give the highest quality standards. This paper proposes an optimal economical dispatch of reactive power using simple linear programming. Reactive power does not charge nor quantify around the world, however, it presents an opportunity to charge without overcharging current rates and therefore this research uses an easy tool, recommending a new rates structures and can be a way to reduce it in the future. Finally, this works rates structure aims at decreasing electricity cost and a new rates model. A linear optimization is the solution to carry out an economic dispatch of the reactive power and through the correct mechanisms; customers will take advantage of new segregated rates.
