Abstract

Monitoring the concentration of a pollutant in an environmental matrix should record both a baseline and sudden variations. This requires a monitoring system whose working frequency can also adapt to stable periods or rapid changes. In this work, a monitor control is developed in which the frequency of actions is adjusted with the data trend obtained in each of the stages that involves chemical monitoring. The interdependence of the stages and the data management are fundamental parts in the design of the MOLABS system, an IoT-COTS monitor optimized for the evaluation of nitrates in water.
