Abstract

Innovation is an essential process for the survival of organizations because it can help them to obtain temporal competitive advantages over their competitors, to adapt to the market dynamics, and to develop greater flexibility to changes. However, innovation processes are complex, expensive, and risky, to the point that the inadequate management of innovation processes has caused severe financial problems, and even bankruptcy, to organizations that were solid and stable. As a consequence, innovation management is a critical aspect for the survival of organizations, which require to continually update their processes, products, and technologies to meet the needs of customers. As a result, the main contribution of this paper is a guide proposal for innovation management, based on the review of a specialized bibliography.
