FroImPro: A MATLAB Toolbox for Image Processing Based on the Frobenius Norm

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the FroImPro toolbox, a novel MATLAB toolbox designed for image processing based on the Frobenius norm. Built upon a mathematical-computational framework, FroImPro toolbox aims to generalize minimization problems encountered in image processing, where the Frobenius norm is a key component of the objective function. Our primary goal is to present a fresh mathematical framework capable of extending a range of minimization problems in image processing, incorporating the Frobenius norm within their objective functions. By facilitating this toolbox and associated mathematical-computational framework, we aspire to enhance comprehension and efficacy in addressing various image processing challenges.
