Abstract
Digital maturity indicates how well-prepared a company is to face the challenges posed by digital transformation or how effectively it is undergoing the transformative process. In the case of business clusters, measuring digital maturity serves as a mechanism to assist in defining strategies of various types and scopes, such as public policies, action plans, roadmaps, tools, and support resources to expedite the process for the various actors involved. The purpose of this article is to present the results of an exploratory exercise applied to the tourism cluster initiative that involves companies from six cantons in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. Upon analyzing the results obtained from a survey administered to 30 companies, it was concluded that the cluster is on the verge of facing the challenges of digital transformation.
