Project Details

Description

A model that provides accurate predictions of heart rate behavior during physical activity can serve as a recommendation system to avoid physical overexertion. Furthermore, it may also benefit people hospitalized with heart problems or in intensive care units, as it could anticipate adverse cardiac events in vulnerable populations. The research in heart rate forecasting is incipient and have not analyzed how to address the model's applicability to diverse individuals. For this reason, the general objective of this research is to develop a model to predict heart rate and heart rate variability in multiple subjects during an exercise involving effort and recovery phases, in order to provide knowledge for the development of a recommendation system for sports activities. Data collected by a researcher from the University of Murcia, Spain, will be used for the development of this project. This researcher will be involved in the project.
