Project Details
Description
The Strategic Plan of the National Horticultural Corporation incorporates technology and
digitization. The objective of this project is first to evaluate with a high understanding the
level of digital maturity that CHN and its affiliates have, characterizing this level to
recognize what is their starting point and opportunities to face in a digitalization process,
according to the sector. and context in which it is executed. This result leads to recognizing
the digitization needs, automation requirements, the level of advanced technologies that it
has or not, but also the combination of various solutions, capable of being inserted in all
organizational activities; therefore, it allows clarity to implement a planning process
towards digitization. The immediate benefit is allowing yourself to know the route to follow
and define the right ones and how to plan future projects; in addition to being prepared to
participate in opportunities offered by the government, universities or others. This way of
working that will be implemented will be based on existing methodologies, reviewed and
reorganized in a work model that will materialize in a basic tool or guide for its application
and measurement of the level of maturity in the Corporation as an organization and its
affiliates. This same work model will allow clarity on what must be considered in
improvement projects, as well as the necessary capacities for the detection of
opportunities, the visualization of adaptation of technologies and the needs that are
projected for their implementation.
The proposal contributes to reduce the uncertainty and reluctance that any process of
change entails, offering the clarity to propose and embark on the path of transformation
through guidelines to follow and prioritizing projects. This is intended to be carried out with
a joint and active work of the counterpart, extension agents and the work of student
assistants and the graduation project of the School of Industrial Production Engineering or
other schools such as ATI. The projects that are defined may be opportunities for other
students to meet these needs in the future, either in the Corporation as an organization or
in each of its affiliates.
