Project Details

Description

This research proposal aims to analyze the factors influencing the economic performance of rural micro and small enterprises in Costa Rica and El Salvador through entrepreneurial guidance. This proposal aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8, "Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all," seeking to foster economic growth in rural areas lacking effective employment through the creation of successful rural businesses. The planned methodology is mixed, involving a survey validated theoretically and by experts, and triangulation to compare identified conscious behavioral insights with identified unconscious behavioral factors influencing the economic performance of micro and small enterprises.

The results of these studies will build a database through the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Network fostered by the CLADEA Group (working groups comprised of the

Representatives and academics from CLADEA member schools, according to areas of interest relevant to business education in Latin America. The project seeks to generate concrete actions to improve knowledge of the factors that influence the performance of rural businesses in Costa Rica and El Salvador, and thus provide information for those responsible for designing support policies for this sector
