Project Details
Description
The United Nations has recently adopted the first resolution on the Promotion of the Social and Solidarity
Economy (SSE). This initial resolution on SSE promotion is a historic event that highlights at least two issues. On the one hand, the socio-economic significance of SSE is underscored. On the other hand, the necessary coordination of actors and resources to drive these associative initiatives is emphasized. In this context, the present project aims to address a longstanding issue in the Latin American region: strengthening capacities to promote innovative women-led associative initiatives. This effort is reinforced by access to a digital platform for learning and collaboration. In this regard, it is important to note that gender disparities persist nationally for women in various aspects. For example, the employment rate is 69.5% for men and 34.9% for women. Thus, the relevance of promoting individual initiatives empowers women across multiple facets. It is due to all of the aforementioned reasons that the project is intended to be implemented across all spheres of influence within TEC's campuses and technological centers In this regard, it highlights the institutional trajectory in terms of conceptualization, development, and validation of value propositions, leading to the creation and strengthening of new organizations.
