Project Details

Description

This project is part of the comprehensive digital transformation initiative of
Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC), focused on the implementation of OpenDID
(Open Digital Identity) and various innovative digital services. The project proposes
to develop a trusted digital platform, which will host various services including, but
not limited to, the progressive introduction of digital identity systems for the entire
university community, payment platforms, micro-credentials, intelligent access
control, a comprehensive strategy of connection with alumni, and culminating in
advanced administrative services and a tokenized economy (oriented to the use of
tokens) of the campus. This is part of the philosophy of "digital transformation" which,
for the TEC, represents a paradigmatic change in the way the institution operates,
interacts with its community and delivers educational value. This initiative will
position the TEC as a leader in educational technological innovation in Central
America, setting new standards for higher education in the digital age.
