Project Details
Description
The teaching process in the employment relationship course, experienced by two of the proposing
researchers, has shown that most of the student body shows apathy towards the process of
learning Law. This fact, detected over several semesters, has generated interest in identifying
learning methodologies that can influence and increase the willingness towards the learning of law
on students coursing different engineering careers in the ITCR.
Researchers’ experiences, such as those acquired by Morales (2009), Torres, Carlos and Rojas
(2018) and Luy-Montejo (2019), have shown that problem-based learning (PBL) has the ability to
increase willingness on the students. For this reason, the interest arises to study scientifically, through a
quasi-experimental quantitative investigation, if this methodology influences the increase on the willingness
towards the learning of law in the employment relationship course.
The proposed research develops two quasi-experiments in parallel, with the intention of isolating the effect of
the teacher's characteristics.
The research is in accordance with general policies 8 and 9 and with the agreement of the IV Institutional
Congress that raises the convenience of developing educational research. It also has the potential to link
research activities with the strengthening of teaching.
