Project Details
Description
This investigation proposes the implementation of circular economy processes through
the use of agroindustrial waste which will be inoculated with microalgae and subjected to
composting processes. The following hypothesis is proposed: "The application of
microalgae in composting processes of agroindustrial waste will improve the process and
quality of compost as fertilizer." The research problem that will be worked on in the
proposal is the lack of technological development of the use of microalgae to treat
agroindustrial waste based on previous knowledge, which has limited its implementation
in productive systems in our region. It is still necessary to generate more information on
the effect of microalgae on the fermentation of agroindustrial solid waste for its optimal
use in productive systems.
