Fortalecimiento lingüístico para la promoción de los emprendimientos turísticos de las personas asociadas de la Cooperativa Agroturística y de Servicios Múltiples de San Ramón de La Virgen de Sarapiquí R. L. (Cooproturs R. L.) y miembros de la comunidad.

The members of the Agrotourism and Multiple Services Cooperative of San Ramón de La
Virgen de Sarapiquí R.L. (Cooproturs R. L.) are a group of 33 people who have shown a
great sense of empowerment in favor of their community through the creation of different
rural tourism projects. As part of the efforts carried out for said empowerment, the members
just graduated from an English program that was tailored especially for them as a result of
a prior diagnosis of their linguistic needs, part of the extension project titled “Strengthening
English Language Competencies of the members of Cooproturs R. L. for the development
of rural tourism”. This project culminated in December 2024, and as part of the efforts made,
this extension activity aims to monitor and support through the translation, from Spanish into
English, of the documentation that will be offered to the English-speaking tourists who visit
the projects of Cooproturs R. L members. The objective of this strengthening extension
project is for Cooproturs R. L members, as well as other members of the community, to be
able to offer English-speaking visitors information (through brochures, posters, menus, and
community history flyers among others) about their businesses in the target language
through professional and high-quality translations in order to promote tourism in the
community.

de La Virgen de Sarapiquí R. L. (Cooproturs R. L.), mediante un acompañamiento lingüístico
especializado en la documentación turística.
