Project Details
Description
The objective of this project is to strengthen national technical capacities for the use of nuclear radiation technologies in wastewater treatment. To this end, training activities will be conducted in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Latin American counterparts. A feasibility study will also be developed for the potential implementation of these technologies in an existing wastewater treatment system in the country. This project falls under the IAEA's Cooperation and Technical Assistance Program, which aims to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, advice, and tools to establish and strengthen the capacities of participating countries in the application of nuclear technologies that offer advantages over existing conventional treatments.
General Objective
Fortalecer las capacidades técnicas nacionales en tecnologías de irradiación de
aguas residuales, mediante capacitación especializada y orientación sobre la valuación de costo-efectividad de tratamientos innovadores a través de estudios de casos específicos.
