Project Details
Description
This research proposal is based on the question, what factors influence the behavior of Costa Rican and
Ecuadorian tourists in the post-pandemic period? Finally, its objective is to categorize the factors influencing
the behavior of Costa Rican and Ecuadorian tourists who visit rural destinations after the COVID-19
pandemic based on a Structural Equations Model to characterize a new tourist profile. This proposal is
associated with the Sustainable Development Goal of the United Nations Organization (UN) # 8, "Promote
inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all," specifically for the goal
"Promote policies oriented to the development that will strengthen productive activities, the creation of decent
jobs, entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation, and promote the formalization and growth of micro, small
and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to financial services. The foreseen methodology is
quantitative, with a probabilistic sample representative of the study population. The project seeks to generate
concrete actions to outline on time the factors that influence the behavior of Costa Rican and Ecuadorian
tourists in the post-pandemic period.
