Project Details

Description

In this new phase of applied development of the SCR-1 stellarator, in order to continue with the characterization and optimization of the magnetic confinement device and the plasma of SCR-1, this work studies the behavior of turbulence flows and their particle transport at the edge of the confined plasma, as well as the analysis of the externally produced radial electric field interaction and its relationship with these turbulent modes to contrast with the recent results, obtained at the TJ-II stellarator. In addition, it is proposed to develop an energy conversion system to regulate the electric current in the coils of the SCR1 and additionally it is proposed to implement an antenna for the heating system that optimizes the deposition of energy in the plasma.

General Objective

Caracterizar el transporte y la turbulencia de partículas mediante la optimización del calentamiento del plasma y la regulación de la corriente eléctrica suministrada a la configuración de bobinas del Stellarator SCR-1.
