Project Details
Description
We are in a globalized world, influenced by the major world powers. The food crisis is already a reality and is expected to worsen by 2032, limiting access to necessary food, and global production may not be sufficient to meet demand. Therefore, the food industry must focus on creating strategies to raise awareness among the population to include alternative, traditional, and native foods in their diets, making it a challenge to achieve a change in eating habits. The impact of storytelling, also known as narratives, in gastronomy, reflected in emotional response and visual attention, is enhanced as digital media evolves, becoming a powerful tool to attract audiences by integrating narratives and gastronomy to improve emotional engagement and visual attention in digital storytelling. Understanding this impact in the gastronomic field in relation to emotional response and visual attention can help content creators and marketers design more captivating and immersive digital storytelling experiences, allowing for awareness and even collaboration in modifying individuals' dietary decision-making.
This project explores how gastronomic narratives influence emotional responses and visual attention, analyzing their impact on decision-making, emotional response, and visual attention to generate strategies for raising awareness about the consumption of alternative, traditional, and native products in response to the current food crisis.
