This research proposal aims to analyze the role of "green management" in the relationship between
innovation and competitive performance in Latin American manufacturing SMEs as part of a general
research roadmap that seeks to understand the relationship between innovation and business performance
in the region. The planned methodology is quantitative, using a series of databases to which the research
team has access, such as the Global Competitiveness Study and the Ibero-American Observatory of SMEs.
This research will have implications for the management of manufacturing SMEs, the design of public policy
to support this sector, and academic research in the area of knowledge.
