Project Details

Description

The research examines the level of attitude towards generative artificial intelligence among engineering students at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, focusing on identifying differences by gender, degree program, Technological Campus or Academic Center, and the mathematics course they are enrolled in during the second semester of 2025.
Understanding how individuals who will graduate as engineering professionals from ITCR perceive generative artificial intelligence allows us to anticipate their willingness to integrate, question, or reject these technologies during their studies, as well as their adoption in professional practice.
The application of the “General Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence Scale” by Schepman and Rodway (2020) is proposed, using the Spanish translated and validated version by Gálvez-Marquina, Pinto-Villar, Mendoza-Aranzamendi, and Anyosa-Gutiérrez (2024).

General Objective

Estudiar el nivel de actitud hacia la inteligencia artificial generativa en el estudiantado de las carreras de ingeniería del ITCR matriculado en los cursos de matemática
