Description
Fats and oils are polluting compounds in water, as well as being problems in public sewer systems. Given this, the company Florex and the Center for Research in Biotechnology considered the idea of generating a biological product that can help to solve this problem. For this, what is intended is to isolate microorganisms capable of degrading these compounds, characterize it and test its potential as a degrading agent. Subsequently, a microorganism will be selected which will be scaled in an artisan bioreactor, where the biomass obtained will undergo formulation tests so that it can be commercially produced by the Florex company.
