Project Details
Description
This project is part of the line of research on technology of forest products, biomass and bioenergy and the institutional strategic axes Industry and Habitat. The research proposal aims to generate applied research, generating results for products such as mezzanine and walls made with CLT, applicable to the wood and construction industry sector. The mechanical characterization of specific specimens from the sampling of the CLT-type panels will be through mechanical tests aimed at determining an ideal adhesive weight and its resistance to shear. Flexural tests (MOR) and elastic resistance (MOE) by means of static bending tests at four points. These mechanical property values will be a reference for the parameters that will be included in a table of design values and then with a simulation of the mechanical resistance, it will be possible to decide the application of the CLT-type material in wooden structures such as mezzanine and wall, complying with the requirements of the CR Seismic Code.
General Objective
