Project Details
Description
In a world where technology is increasingly recognized and prevalent in society, there
remains a significant gap in exposure to and proficiency in technological skills, particularly
marked by regional and gender disparities.
To address this disparity and promote meaningful change for young people, we will develop
a series of interactive workshops in schools focused on teaching the fundamentals of
programming through the use of modular programmable robotics kits. These workshops will
be designed to be intuitive and engaging, offering students an initial opportunity to explore
the world of programming, sparking their interest in programming and robotics in a practical
and entertaining way while building their confidence in their ability to influence and create
within the technological realm.
This project is proposed as a first step to act as a catalyst for change, a bridge over this
digital divide, where each child discovers not only how technology works but also how they
can be a creator in the digital world. This approach not only fosters essential technical skills
but also opens up a universe of opportunities in STEM fields (science, technology,
2
engineering, and mathematics), balancing representation and fostering true equality of
opportunity in technological innovation.
