Project Details
Description
Cooperativa para la Innovación del Valle R. L. was founded with the support of Escuela de
Agronegocios, through the generation of a PVU Study (Possibility, Viability, and Utility) for its
registration as a cooperative organization at Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social (Labor and
Social Security Ministry) and Instituto de Fomento Cooperativo (Cooperative Development Institute),
in 2017. Once the Cooperative was established, Escuela de Agronegocios continued assisting it with
technical training related to rabbit production, in coordination with Mexican experts; support
management from State institutions such as Instituto de Desarrollo Rural (INDER), and the
contribution of final projects in courses of the Career and of graduation projects. The progress of the
Cooperative project entitled Meat products of minor species was halted in the context of the pandemic
caused by Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021. However, the members of the Cooperative have resumed the
production of minor species and renewed their intentions to carry out the project; thereby, they have
recently turned to Escuela de Agronegocios to request its support. Therefore, Escuela de
Agronegocios proposes a strengthening training program for the Cooperative in agribusiness
management processes and generation of added value to meat products of minor species, initially to
rabbit meat of the California and New Zealand breeds, aspects that will be covered through training
for members of the cooperative.
