Chemist with 20 years of professional experience across the public, private, and academic sectors, specializing in applied scientific research, university-level teaching, and analytical quality control. She has led national and international projects focused on the identification and monitoring of contaminants in environmental matrices, using advanced instrumental techniques such as HPLC/UPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, atomic absorption spectroscopy, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. She has extensive experience in analytical method validation, implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements, and laboratory assessments as a technical expert for the Costa Rican Accreditation Body. Her professional background also includes scientific publications in international journals, presentations at national and international conferences, and extensive experience as a professor-researcher and supervisor of undergraduate and graduate research projects at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology.
