Research interests

Hello, my name is Montserrat Jarquin-Cordero; I have graduated as a Biotechnology Engineer at Instituto Tecnologico de Costa Rica. Since 2001 I started to work in the Biotechnology Research Center as a laboratory assistant and junior researcher. Later on, I did my Master's at the Public University of Navarra, working in the genetic transformation of tobacco plants to express HIV proteins. Then, I came back to Costa Rica and to the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica to work as a teacher for the Biotechnology career and researcher. In 2015 I went to Munich to start my Ph.D. thesis in the genetic transformation of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii to express pro-angiogenic proteins for biomedical applications.
