His work focuses on the development of advanced lattice architectures—such as TPMS-Gyroid structures—for biomedical applications, utilizing topology optimization and parametric modeling to harmonize form, function, and mechanical performance. Based at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology (TEC), he leads international collaborations exploring the frontiers of bio-inspired engineering and osseointegration. By integrating high-precision digital fabrication with rigorous biomechanical evaluation—including in-vivo and ex-vivo fatigue testing—he develops optimized, functional components that push the boundaries of implant durability and physiological integration.
