Personal profile

Costa Rican university professor and researcher with eight years of experience in non-formal teaching, followed by eleven years of university teaching experience. Coordinator or co-investigator of national and international research projects. She has expertise in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on Animal Reproduction. She actively works with the Animal Reproduction Research Group at the Federal University of Bahia.

Teaching

Bachelor's  degree in Animal Science from the University of Costa Rica, Costa Rica. Master's degree in Tropical Animal Science, with an emphasis on Animal Reproduction, from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, and is a OAS scholarship. She also holds a PhD in Natural Sciences for Development, with a doctoral thesis in animal reproductive nutrition.

Professional Experience

Pre-university experience includes work at the Central Pacific Cattle Ranchers Association, the Cattle Corporation, the Senepol Cattle Breeders Association in animal husbandry activities, and non-formal teaching at the National University and the University of Costa Rica.

As for university experience, she has worked as a professor and researcher at the national level at the University of Costa Rica, the National University, and the Costa Rica Institute of Technology. She also has a teaching experience at the Federal University of Bahia.

She also has additional professional experience as a project advisor in 2021 at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Telecommunications of Costa Rica.
