Personal profile

I obtained a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Costa Rica, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Manufacturing Systems and Materials, from the University of Costa Rica and a Ph.D. in Physics and Chemistry of Materials from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. My doctoral thesis was entitled: "Development of High-Performance Aluminum-Iron Alloys by High-Pressure Torsion." Professor and Researcher at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, where I have taught courses in numerical methods, metallurgy, materials characterization, electron microscopy, thermal analysis, and X-ray diffraction for the Materials Engineering program, as well as for the Master's program in Medical Device Engineering. I am working on research projects related to the application of nanotechnology in metallic alloys, biomaterials, and ceramics with medical and energy applications. He has published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals and several national and international conference proceedings.
