Industrial Engineer with a PhD in Modeling and Experimentation in Science and Technology, with more than 20 years of professional experience and over 10 years of experience in university teaching, applied research, academic management, and process improvement consulting.

Professor, researcher, and coordinator of the Industrial Production Engineering program at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, with experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, leading interdisciplinary research projects, and coordinating international academic cooperation and multicultural teams.

His areas of expertise include discrete-event simulation, industrial automation, Lean Six Sigma, reliability engineering, installed-capacity optimization, and digital transformation. He has led projects focused on improving healthcare services, analyzing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in flexible manufacturing cells, and developing decision-support models for the efficient allocation of resources.

He has extensive experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and metalworking sectors, applying simulation, statistical analysis, DMAIC, FMEA, facility layout, and automation tools to improve quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. His professional background is complemented by scientific publications, participation in international conferences, and specialized training in Industry 4.0 and semiconductor technologies.
