Research interests
David Arias-Hidalgo works as Professor at the Costa Rican Institute of Technology (ITCR). He is an associate researcher at the Migrations and Society Research Unit (URMIS) is unites the Université de Paris and Université Côte d’Azur( UniCA) with the Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD) and CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique).
Their current project is Links Between Cocoa and Tourism: Local Strategies for Enhancing Agriculture and Sustainable Tourism in Rural Communities in Costa Rica. David has wide research experience with multidisciplinary groups, indigenous and community tourism and environmental education with socially vulnerable groups specifically: women, indigenous groups and farmer in Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and Bali.
